Meet the Owners, Chris & Linda Clayville |
Chris and Linda Clayville consider themselves a management team with each having over 30 years’ experience in the insulation industry. Extensive industry experience and youthful enthusiasm is the creative thread they have chosen to use in directing the companies future. After college graduation and several years of working in the instrumentation field with the Idaho Nuclear Engineering Laboratory, Chris decided to pursue his contracting firm in Burley, Idaho in 1972. That same year he developed and built a cellulose insulation manufacturing plant and sold insulation to other contractors as well. Together, Chris and Linda are very active in the national trade association, ASTM C-16 Committee on Thermal Insulation, helping to develop technical standards for the insulation industry. Chris perfected a chemical system to produce his own fire retardant chemical and set up newspaper collection centers in order to directly control his supply of raw materials. They have always believed that if a company does not continue to improve, it begins to stagnate. In addition, they have always insisted that management be an example to all company employees, especially in a small business environment. They have taken this principle to heart personally, and whether attending business seminars, night classes at the local college, important national industry events, or just simply learning more about new methods of installing cellulose, fiberglass, urethane foam or K-13 acoustical insulation, are always striving for improvement. Part of their dedication comes from the fact that their company has always been a “family affair”. Not only because it has employed many family members but also because it has been strongly supported in many ways by close family members. Today, Chris and Linda’s daughters, son in law, and grandson are actively involved in the business. |
